Chapter 6 Reflection- Jacqueline Lin

Chapter 6-

Chapter six was about the typographic messages. The typographic message is verbal, visual, and vocal. The way messages are portrayed in media are through posters and the way the designers decided to put the words together. The weight of the letters are important because they can be too thick for a person to visually read or too difficult look at. Inserting objects with words can be difficult for a person to try and figure out the message, but if the designer makes it obvious on what it is, it can be very effective. I enjoyed this chapter from the different logos they showed as well as the posters. The functions and expressions of each letter can be bold and loud through the way they are sized and the colors that are used as well. I enjoyed the rolling stone magazine because of the letterform constructed between the two words.
